     Provides technical support to customers and repairs products primarily in-house at company branch location.

     

    Responsibilities


     
    1. Perform tests, troubleshooting, assembly, rework and calibration.
    2. Assist customers with the operation and troubleshooting of products.
    3. Communicate with customers over the phone or via e-mail.
    4. Provide testing and technical support.
    5. Perform bench repairs of returned product.
    6. Occasionally perform field work for troubleshooting, installation and repair of products.
    7. Process customer orders, assist customers with parts requests/orders, enter information, bills out work performed, maintain service log and other departmental records.
    8. Diagnose, test, troubleshoot, and repair returned products.
    9. Perform troubleshooting/repairing of products under warranty or for post warranty service.
    10. Calibrates/Cleans products.
    11. Perform other duties as required.

     

    Qualifications

    1. BS or equivalent job experience in Electronics
    2. Related experience or tech. training
    3. Excellent customer service skills
    4. Ability to participate in our 24/7 emergency technical support rotation.
    5. Able to read and interpret schematics.
    6. Working knowledge of basic test equipment, meters, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, etc.
    7. Knowledge of soldering and electronic troubleshooting techniques.
    8. General working knowledge of computer applications, Access, Word, Excel, NetSuite, etc.
    9. Strong organizational skills
    10. Open to some travel
    11. Familiar with construction technique; good mechanical aptitude
    12. Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and customer order entry in an ERP system
